Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Welcome to YardForm. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the YardForm website and services, including SecondLook.

By accessing the website, submitting a project, purchasing a service, or otherwise using YardForm, you agree to these Terms.

About YardForm and SecondLook

YardForm provides online tools and services intended to help homeowners explore ideas for improving outdoor spaces.

SecondLook provides conceptual landscape ideas, visualizations, recommendations, and planning guidance based on information supplied by the customer.

YardForm's process has been developed from a Landscape Architect's perspective and combines landscape-design principles with modern visualization and technology tools.

Conceptual Design Only

Unless expressly stated otherwise, SecondLook materials are:

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN — FOR IDEAS & PLANNING ONLY.

SecondLook visualizations, layouts, dimensions, quantities, budgets, plant recommendations, material recommendations, and other information are intended to help customers explore possibilities and make more informed decisions.

They are not construction documents, permit documents, engineering documents, surveys, specifications, or sealed landscape architectural drawings.

Concept layouts may be developed from photographs, customer-provided measurements, approximate dimensions, aerial information, and other limited information. Conditions shown or interpreted in a SecondLook must be verified in the field before purchasing materials or beginning construction.

Customer-Provided Information

The usefulness and accuracy of a SecondLook depends substantially on the information provided by the customer.

Customers are responsible for providing reasonably accurate photographs, dimensions, project location, sunlight conditions, existing features, budget information, preferences, and other requested project information.

YardForm is not responsible for errors or unsuitable recommendations resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information supplied by the customer.

Existing Conditions and Site Verification

YardForm does not typically perform an on-site inspection, survey, engineering investigation, utility location, soil test, drainage study, property-line determination, code review, or other physical site investigation as part of a SecondLook.

Existing conditions—including property boundaries, utilities, easements, grades, drainage, structures, dimensions, soil conditions, underground conditions, and applicable regulations—must be independently verified where relevant before implementation.

Customers are responsible for contacting appropriate contractors, utilities, permitting authorities, licensed professionals, or other qualified parties when necessary.

Visualizations and Technology

YardForm may use digital visualization, artificial intelligence, image-generation technology, software, and other tools as part of the SecondLook process.

Concept visualizations are intended to communicate design intent and possibilities, not provide a photographic prediction of exactly how a completed project will appear.

Visualizations may contain differences from actual site conditions. Plant appearance, size, quantity, spacing, materials, colors, textures, furnishings, lighting, shadows, dimensions, and other details may vary.

YardForm works to identify and reduce significant visualization errors, but customers should rely on the written guidance, field verification, and qualified professionals when making purchasing or construction decisions.

Plants and Materials

Plant and material recommendations are conceptual recommendations based on the project information available to YardForm.

Plant performance depends on many factors outside YardForm's control, including weather, microclimate, soil, drainage, irrigation, maintenance, installation practices, pests, disease, and availability.

Plant sizes and mature dimensions are approximate and may vary.

Specific plants and materials may not be available locally or at the time of purchase. Suitable substitutions may be necessary.

Customers should verify final plant and material selections with local suppliers, nurseries, contractors, or other knowledgeable professionals before purchasing or installation.

Budget Guidance

Any pricing, budget ranges, quantities, or cost information provided by YardForm is conceptual guidance only.

Actual costs vary significantly based on location, contractors, labor, site conditions, material availability, project scope, market conditions, taxes, delivery, permitting, and other factors.

Customers should obtain current pricing and appropriate contractor or supplier estimates before making financial or construction decisions.

Construction, Permits and Safety

Customers are responsible for determining whether permits, approvals, inspections, professional drawings, engineering, utility location, or other requirements apply to their project.

A SecondLook should not be used as a substitute for professional services required by law or appropriate for site-specific structural, grading, drainage, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, retaining-wall, pool, accessibility, life-safety, or other technical work.

Customers should use qualified professionals and contractors where appropriate.

Purchases and Deliverables

The specific content included with a YardForm or SecondLook purchase is determined by the package description presented at the time of purchase.

Because YardForm is continuing to develop and improve its services, package features, pricing, turnaround times, and deliverable formats may change.

Changes will not intentionally reduce the package already purchased by a customer after an order has been accepted.

Any stated turnaround time is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed otherwise.

Revisions

If a purchased package includes a revision, that revision is limited to the scope described for that package.

For example, a SecondLook package that includes refinement of a preferred concept or combination of elements from two concepts does not automatically include development of an entirely unrelated additional concept.

Additional work beyond the included scope may require a separate purchase or agreement.

Refunds and Problems With an Order

If you experience a problem with a YardForm deliverable, please contact us so we can review the issue.

Because YardForm provides customized digital services based on customer-submitted information, completed custom work may not always be eligible for a refund.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

Ownership and Permitted Use

Unless otherwise stated, YardForm retains ownership of its website, branding, templates, written materials, processes, graphics, and other original YardForm content.

Customers may use the customized SecondLook materials delivered for their project for personal planning, purchasing, communicating with contractors or suppliers, and implementing improvements at the property for which the SecondLook was prepared.

Customers may not resell, commercially redistribute, or represent YardForm materials as their own professional design work without permission.

Customers retain ownership of photographs and other original materials they submit, subject to the permission necessary for YardForm and its service providers to process those materials to provide the requested service.

Project Examples and Marketing

Purchasing or using YardForm does not automatically authorize YardForm to publicly identify a customer or publish the customer's private project photographs for marketing purposes.

YardForm may request separate permission to feature selected projects, customer feedback, photographs, or concept materials as examples.

Acceptable Use

You may not use YardForm to violate applicable law, infringe another person's rights, submit materials you do not have permission to use, interfere with the operation or security of the website, or attempt to misuse YardForm's services or technology.

No Guarantee of Results

Landscapes are living and changing environments.

YardForm does not guarantee that a particular plant will survive, that a contractor will reproduce a visualization exactly, that materials will remain available, that actual project costs will match conceptual guidance, or that a completed project will exactly match a SecondLook visualization.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, YardForm will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from use of the website or conceptual SecondLook materials.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes to These Terms

YardForm may update these Terms as our website, services, technology, and business practices evolve.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Terms applicable to a particular purchase will generally be those in effect when the purchase was made, except where changes are required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
